| Administrative Department Ron Columbus, Executive Assistant to Secretary-Treasurer The Executive Assistant to the Secretary Treasurer is responsible for the coordination and supervision of staff in the day-to-day operations of the Secretary Treasurer Department at the National Division Headquarters. In addition the Administrative Assistant coordinates with the President's Department, maintains financial records, assists in the National Division audits and other duties as assigned. The Controller is responsible to review all financial transactions to insure the accuracy of those records, makes internal data reports and maintains personnel records of National Division, System Division / Federation Officers, and employees. Rick Forbes, Assistant Director Information Systems Mark D. Gowing, Staff Assistant, Information Systems Membership Services Department Carolyn Schaedig, Staff Assistant, Membership Services This department, supervised by the Staff Assistant, adjusts membership records, handles the various check-offs, lodge and system dues receipts, death benefit standing and claims, merit awards and all correspondence relating to membership records. In addition this department is responsible for accounts receivable of dues and assessment money and prepares funds for deposit with the Brotherhood bank. Financial Services Department Mary Mocher, Staff Assistant, Financial Services This department maintains a complete record via data processing of all payrolls and expenses disbursement for National Division, System Divisions / Federations and some subordinate lodges for which Grand Lodge processes payroll. In addition to the weekly, semi-monthly and monthly payroll this department ensures compliance with taxing authority requirements and accounts payable record keeping, as well as internal reporting of financial data. Government Reporting Services/Assistant
Controller This department is responsible for the review and maintenance of records of all audit reports submitted by the local lodges and the National Division Auditors. This department assists in the control of reporting requirements imposed by the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959. These include the processing of Local Lodge and System Division / Federation LM 2, 3, and 4, the Internal Revenue Services Form 990 and the Railroad Retirement Taxes for National Division payrolls. This department is also responsible for assisting the Local Lodges and System Officers in financial and reporting questions and answers correspondence related to these matters. National Division Field Auditors Jason Richert, Field Auditor To compliment the services provided by the Reporting Services Department because of the U. S, Labor Department requirements, the field auditors, are each assigned a geographical area within the United States. Their duties are to audit each lodge as frequently as possible and train the subordinate secretary-treasurers in filing of reports as required by the federal laws. In addition they are required to assist the reporting services when instructed by the Secretary Treasurer or the Staff Assistant.
