RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the delegates present at the 1998 Grand Lodge Convention put forth and passed resolutions directing Grand Lodge to seek out a compatible Labor Organization with which to merge and,

WHEREAS, President Mac A. Fleming complied with the wishes of the membership and appointed a committee and advisers to achieve a fair and beneficial merger proposal and,

WHEREAS, that committee and advisers worked diligently to acquire a fair and reasonable proposal between the BMWE and the IBB, be it

RESOLVED, that we, the members of the Nickel Plate-Wheeling & Lake Erie Federation, go on record this 22nd day of August 2001 as commending all those parties who actively participated in acquiring the merger proposal for a job well done; and be it further

RESOLVED, that we, the members of the Nickel Plate-Wheeling & Lake Erie Federation Joint Protective Board go on record as supporting, endorsing and recommending the approval of the proposed merger agreement.
