International Longshoremen's Association Fights Disney Cruise Lines for Benefits
For Your Information
The International Longshoremen's Association for years has provided trained, skilled employees for employment with stevedores who service cruise lines. Such employees receive a good wage and good benefits such as health and welfare and pension benefits.
Disney Cruise Lines uses the stevedore services of Florida Transportation Services, Inc. a stevedore whose employees do not receive comparable wages and benefits.
International Longshoremen's Association Local 1359 (Longshoremen), Local 1922 (Clerks and Checkers) and Local 1992-1 (Mechanics) are committed to provide the cruising public through union signatory stevedores well trained, adequately paid longshoremen, clerks, checkers and mechanics.
