BMWED Members who apply for
and receive a username and password
can access our BMWED Members Area,
where they can view and use a
variety of tools and information
such as member listings, search
tools and news, both current and
archived. In the future we hope to
add more features such as the
ability to provide surveys, polls,
and other advanced Internet
applications. If you're interested
in gaining access to the BMWED
Members Area, you need to read the
following Terms of Agreement and
submit the form at the end. After
you've submitted the information
necessary, you'll be returned to our
main page and should receive your
User Name and Password via email
within a few days.
Terms of
Agreement
The Brotherhood of Maintenance of
Way Employes Division encourages
members to exchange ideas and
communicate matters of importance to
the membership of our union.
In the use of the BMWED Members
Area, it is understood that whenever
posting or publishing any
communications, the following
communications are prohibited:
Communication:
I. Which violates or infringes
upon the rights of other members;
or,
II. Which, under the
circumstances, and in BMWED’s good
faith judgment is, or is likely to
be perceived as intended to be,
defamatory, deceptive, misleading,
abusive, profane or discriminatory
(whether with regard to race,
religion, sex, national origin, age,
or disability); or,
III. Which constitutes a threat
to or harassment to another member;
or,
IV. Which constitutes
announcement of, or message to,
campaign for or solicitation of
membership support for the purpose
of attaining an office within the
BMWED and or its affiliates, since
the BMWED is financed solely by the
use of union dues monies; or,
V. Which violates the laws of the
United States or Canada. The
Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way
Employes Division reserves the right
to review all posted or published
communications, and if in its good
faith judgment, the posted messages,
published announcements or any
communications in the Members Area
violates the prohibitions above, the
communications may be deleted and
the responsible member’s access to,
and/or use of, the BMWED Members
Area may be revoked.
The views and opinions expressed
by any of the members in the BMWED
Members Area may not necessarily be
the views expressed, implied, or
shared by any or all of the duly
elected officers of the Brotherhood
of Maintenance of Way Employes
Division or its affiliates.
This Agreement as published
constitutes the only agreement with
respect to its subject matter
between the BMWED member and the
BMWED.
By accepting this sign up
procedure, members agree to the
terms and conditions of the Member
Agreement.
NOTE: When choosing a Username
and Password, the following
restrictions apply:
1.Cannot have spaces.
2.Can contain only letters and/or
numbers.
3.Must be no more than 12
characters long.
