The
BMWE regrets to advise that Brother Archie Adams was
killed on February 18, 1997 while working for the
Canadian Pacific Railroad. Adams was part of a track crew
changing a defective rail and was operating a rail saw
when a rock fell from a slope and struck him in the back
of his head. Co-workers efforts to revive him were
unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead on arrival at the
hospital. Adams
joined the BMWE in 1979 and was a member of Subordinate
Lodge 210, Canadian System Federation.
A resident of Lytton,
British Columbia, Adams is survived by his wife Freda,
two children, one granddaughter, six sisters, eight
brothers and numerous other relatives and friends.
