Wayne Burke, a 43-year old machine operator for Canadian Pacific, was killed in April this year when the speedswing he was operating was struck by a train. Burke, a resident of Winnipeg, Manitoba, was a member of Subordinate Lodge 207, Canadian System Federation and is survived by his wife Carole and other family members. Burke’s death brought to five the number of fatalities on Canadian Pacific this year.
