Welfare Reform?

Washington, D.C.--This town has been full of praise for Franklin Delano Roosevelt, much of it from politicians who voted last year to butcher Aid to Families with Dependent Children, one of FDR’s real legacies.

It’s too bad they didn’t remember what FDR said, before they voted to repeal welfare:

"The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little."
