The second paragraph, second sentence of the letter printed on page 3, is misleading. A better statement would be: Starting in the year 2000, the age at which full railroad retirement benefits are payable increases in gradual steps until it reaches age 67 in the year 2027. These changes will affect people born in 1938 and later. More members responded to this letter than any other Journal article in the past four years. See page 13 for some of the responses.

Corrections to March Journal:

Page 11 should be "Report of Claims Paid during January 1998" not 1997. Page 12 should be "Eddie B. Casey" celebrated his 100th birthday on "December 28, 1997" not 1998.
