Nicaraguan Sweatshops

e03.JPG (43972 bytes)

This 21-year-old Nicaraguan works 67 hours a week at 10 cents an hour to make clothes for Target and Dayton-Hudson -- not enough to feed her baby. Wal-Mart, J.C. Penney and Kmart also use Nicaraguan sweatshops. Information on the National Labor Committee efforts to end child labor and sweatshops is available at 212-242-3002; fax 212-242-3821; web www.nlcnet.org.
