| While the 43rd Regular Quadrennial Grand Lodge
Convention held July 13 through 17, 1998, in Montreal, Quebec, was in the spotlight in
1998, BMWE officers and members continued their active efforts in many other arenas
throughout the year as well. From bargaining to safety to organizing to education to
political to legal — the BMWE was there. As you will see on the following pages, just
as the delegates to the Convention set the direction for the BMWE into the next century
— the next millennium — the officers and members made their impact on important
issues facing members. And with the next bargaining round opening in less than a year, no
one has any intention of slowing down. |
