STAFF POSITION OPENING
 

The Brotherhood is seeking applicants to fill the Office Coordinator's position in the BMWE arbitration office in Chicago.

The Office Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Assistant to the President in the Chicago Office and shall be responsible for a variety of duties including coordinating secretarial staff, administering the computer network, researching and preparing statistical reports and administering the filing of cases with the National Railroad Adjustment Board.

The ideal applicant should have a high degree of computer literacy, strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, demonstrated organizational and administrative ability and knowledge of rules and procedures for progressing claims and grievances to the NRAB.

Any member desiring to be considered for the position should send a detailed resume including:

Level of Computer Literacy - include experience with WordPerfect, Quattro Pro, Microsoft Works for Windows, NetWare Administrator for Windows, Netscape Communicator, CompuServe, R&R Report Writer, Novell Netware 5, etc.

Organizational, administrative and supervisory experience

Typing speed and dictaphone experience

Experience with administering claim and grievance time limits and the NRAB Rules of Procedure

The successful candidate will be required to reside in the Chicago metropolitan area.
