TENTATIVE AGREEMENT REACHED

On the evening of March 8, 2001, the BMWE and the National Carriers' Conference Committee (the bargaining agent for the railroads) reached a tentative national agreement settling Section 6 Notices (bargaining demands) served by both parties in November 1999. Further details were to be released after this JOURNAL went to print, when the agreement is sent to BMWE members for ratification.
