| Article XXI, Section 2 of the Grand
Lodge Constitution & Bylaws requires that a member must apply for
an unemployment card within 60 days from the last day of the month in
which they were employed to maintain good standing in the BMWE.
This provision applies to BMWE members who are laid off because of
a reduction in force, sickness, temporary disability, strike, lock-out
or military service.
An unemployment card maintains a member’s eligibility for all the
rights, privileges, benefits and protections guaranteed by the Grand
Lodge Constitution & Bylaws. |
