Teamster Disaster Relief Fund - Houston Texas Severely Affected by Hurricane Harvey

Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa has directed international union staff to provide all necessary support to members impacted by Hurricane Harvey and the resulting floods. Robert Mele, Joint Council 58 President and Local 988 President, is assessing the best ways for the Teamsters Disaster Relief Fund to support members and retirees affected by this unprecedented storm. Local 988 is setting up a staging area for supplies at the union hall and will be providing meals to affected members and retirees. Let’s support our brothers and sisters in Texas in this time of need – locals, Joint Councils and members are urged to makes donations to the Relief Fund for those impacted by Hurricane Harvey: www.teamster.org/benefits/disaster-relief
