Mission Statement: The BMWED Hispanic Caucus was formed to ensure that all members and elected officers of the BMWED are treated fairly and equally; and are educated on the responsibilities of being members and elected officers, such as participation, knowledge of the collective bargaining agreements and labor issues; and to serve as advocates for rail labor.

The intent is to inspire individuals to improve and empower themselves and their families and in turn strengthen our union and their communities by promoting interests on the local, state, and national levels. To foster and inspire awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the past and present. To acknowledge the contributions of the Hispanic/Latino workers within the BMWED. The purpose is to be educated on cultural awareness, thus, creating an equitable society.

The core mission of the BMWED Hispanic Caucus is to create a network of current BMWED members including retirees and to promote cultural diversity and professional development of its members, thereby creating a supportive environment for the Latino/ Hispanic community and contributing to the success of the BMWED and its missions.
