Dates set, arbitrator selected in BMWED/SMART-Mechanical and NCCC binding arbitration

Binding arbitration dates between the BMWED-IBT and SMART-Mechanical bargaining coalition and the National Carriers' Conference Committee (NCCC) have been set for Monday, May 7 and Tuesday, May 8 near the Washington, D.C. area.
Mr. Gil Vernon has been selected as the neutral arbitrator in the case. Mr. Vernon has been a full-time labor-management arbitrator since 1979.
Updates regarding the status of National Negotiations and the BMWED/SMART-Mechanical arbitration will be provided as they continue to develop.
