PRESS YOUR U.S. SENATORS TO PASS THE PRO ACT Published: Apr 27 2021 4:02PM
The BMWED is joining all Teamsters and AFL-CIO members, along with scores of Unions nationwide, to urge the U.S. Senate to pass the Protect the Right to Organize (PRO) Act immediately!
The Protect Right to Organize Act (PRO Act) is the most significant worker empowerment legislation since the Great Depression. The PRO Act will:
• Hold corporations accountable for union-busting.
• Protect workers’ rights to form and join unions, including in new industries like Big Tech.
• Repeal “right to work” laws in every state.
Stronger unions mean higher wages, safer working conditions and dignity for all people who work.
The PRO Act has passed the U.S. House of Representatives and President Joe Biden has stated that he would sign the legislation if it reaches his desk. Union members who enjoy greater pay, benefits, work protections, seniority, pensions, and various other collectively bargained items should pressure their Senators to PASS THE PRO ACT immediately!
Send an email to your Senators now asking them to pass the PRO Act!
