(NEW DATES) Rescheduling of Founding Employer System Conventions Beginning October 25, 2021

Setember 24, 2021

(NEW DATES) RESCHEDULING OF FOUNDING EMPLOYER SYSTEM CONVENTIONS BEGINNING OCTOBER 25, 2021

Brothers and Sisters:

I am writing to advise that the Founding Employer System Conventions have been rescheduled to be held as described in the chart below:

The lawsuit regarding the Founding Employer System Conventions is pending. There are court dates scheduled before a Judge for October 5th, 7th and 8th regarding this subject matter, and the results of these legal proceedings could impact the rescheduled Employer System Convention dates. Nevertheless, Local Lodges should continue to schedule their special meetings and elect Delegates to attend the Founding Employer System Conventions that will begin October 25, 2021, unless and until advised otherwise by the BMWED National Division President.

The Credential (in triplicate form) must be signed and dated by the Local Lodge President and Secretary-Treasurer, or an elected officer of that Local Lodge. The original Credential shall be given to the duly elected Delegate. One Credential copy shall be retained by the Local Lodge Secretary-Treasurer. The remaining Credential copy shall be forwarded to the National Division President as soon as possible after the Local Lodge election, so that the Delegate information can be recorded and that a letter containing pertinent Founding Employer System Convention information, including information regarding the hotel, meeting locations, etc., can be provided to the respective Local Lodge Delegate.

Again, it is imperative that the Local Lodge elect a Delegate, timely submit their Credential, in order for the Members of the Local Lodge to be represented at their respective Founding Employer System Convention.

Fraternally,

Freddie N. Simpson
President
