The BMWED Committee on Diversity attended the 46th Annual Teamsters National Black Caucus Educational Conference the week of August 15th. There were several keynote speakers, panels and workshops available to attendees covering an assortment of Union topics and strategy sessions.

The Committee met for their annual in-person meeting to discuss past and future events designed to further the interests of minorities in our Brotherhood. Sister Jennifer Ross (BNSF) gave a presentation on the LGBTQIA+ community and took questions from the group. The committee discussed plans to volunteer in community service activities with the goal of improving our neighborhoods, building relationships, and having a positive presence where we live.
